Sunday Snacklist #4
Ayo Highly Regarded audience! All 6 of you! Yeah I know you're there, bored on a Sunday just wishing you had something to listen to while you go about your droll business of gettin that paper and continuing the hustle. GUESS WHAT THEN. Here's a brand spankin' new Sunday Snacklist for your excellent adventure of the day. Play it on the way to church and to the red light district after church, you deserved it b.
Pepper - Stormtrooper
It's summer and unless you straight living in Greenland with K'Nooknack, it's time to be outside causin' various misdemeanors and the like child. Nothing turns being outside to an 11 quite like my crew Pepper. The same Pepper that just packed the shelves with their new CD Ohana, which finds them getting back to the basslines their island can groove to proper. Burning pakololo not even noticing the weather. Is there anything else that needs to be said b?
French Montana - Figure it Out ft Kanye West & Nas
The Brothers Eskimo uploaded this to intertubes just the other day and I can't figure out, but I think French Montana convinced me to not dislike him greatly for a song. It's the first time the Ying Yang Forgotten Triplet has abated my urge to rock his dome with a quick elbow nahmean. The caught in the crossfire bodega cat has finally put out a song that...it kinda makes me feel for this white-Canadian-Tuxedo wearing motherfucker. Maybe it's because he got Nas giving him a rep boost with me for a verse. Maybe it's the dirt bikes jumping airplanes, but these some beefy beats yo. This that ish you put on the soundtrack to your mental montage when ruminating about that tinderella that just wanted a free dinner. Not that I would know what that's like, I split the check. And by split, I mean I just give her the tip BLAO BLAO.
ScHoolboy Q - THat Part ft Yeezus Christ
It's Yeezy Season. Q has been going hard teasing us about his second LP and how it can be dropped like a bad habit at any moment b. All I can say about this song, which is danksauce in it's own right, but if this is what he brings to the non-porous surface with Ye, I can begin to fathom the beastability he's going to drop on us when he gets Black Hippy tonguepunching the mic ya feel me? Kanye showing us that it's open season for his verses putting in work over the bass in this and Figure It Out, and that we should probably get our innards ready for the auditory siege he has planned namsayin
Isaiah Rashad - Smile
Mr. Rashad has been taking the opposite approach of teasing for an album as ScHoolboy Q. He releases two stupid good songs Nelly and this chirp-the-tires good beat, Smile, but there is no horizon to this long, long awaited LP. It could be dropped any day, but that's because neither us or Isaiah knows when that will be. Until then, make do thumpin this through your earbuds...hopefully with a swisher full of dro gettin off in the lac-lac.
Chance the Rapper - No Problem ft Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz
Put this on the fridge. Actually, remove all other trash from fridge because the fridge ain't big enough for anything other than this nahmean. Chance bringing the best out of every bodega cat he bringing on for a verse on his lava hot off the press new LP Coloring Book; available exclusively through Apple Music and your local torrent site. Chance's flow so hot, he making a new island off of the Fijian islands bruh. It's so buttery smooth you might as well invite the neighborhood rapscallions over for a slip-n-slide party. It's so on point he makes 2 Chainz talented for a song. You know you done some good-good if you can make that happen. Maybe you should come back later in the week to possibly hear some thoughts on Coloring Book...possibly...couldn't tell you where to look...
